Mind & Medicine e.V. is a non-profit Social Impact Initiative and a passion project dedicated to holistic health that takes root—driven by a conscious mindset that enables growth.
We design systemic health innovations at the intersection of global consciousness studies, plant-based medicine, and culturally sensitive health promotion.
Mind & Medicine provides a platform specifically for this purpose: for awareness development, medicinal plant knowledge, and integrative health transformation—non-profit, holistic, and global.
We connect consciousness studies with medicinal plant knowledge and culturally sensitive innovation approaches. Our goal: To create spaces where new insights emerge—scientifically grounded, intuitive, and connected.
Our focus: Strengthening health, sharing knowledge, and unfolding impact—through the Artemisia annua plant and beyond.
In our initial phase, a pilot project in Tanzania is central: It connects cultivation, application, and educational outreach—locally rooted, internationally supported.
Pilot Project: Artemisia & Health
Our goal:
To strengthen the cultivation and complementary use of Artemisia annua—locally rooted, scientifically accompanied, and globally connected.
What we specifically do:
We are starting with a feasibility study and initial clinical testing of Artemisia in complementary cancer treatment. Furthermore, we are initiating the development of cultivation areas with local partners in Tanzania, conducting training on cultivation, processing, and application, offering accompanying educational formats both locally and online, thereby strengthening knowledge transfer and information work in Europe and Africa.
Why this project?
Sometimes personal experiences, scientific curiosity, and deep connection lead to a clear vision. For me, it was a case of malaria, many years of research and leadership in innovation—and a long-standing connection to Tanzania. The medicinal plant Artemisia annua became an anchor point back then and has now been personally rediscovered 13 years later.
As a social anthropologist and PhD-level innovation researcher, I bring this knowledge and my experience to Mind & Medicine—together with an interdisciplinary team and local partners.
This project is not just a research endeavor. It is a living bridge—between continents, knowledge systems, and consciousness. And it is what I call an "elevation of experience": the art of transforming what we have lived into something greater—to open new paths.
